En Nouvelle-Calédonie, la situation était "plus calme et apaisée" vendredi en raison de l'état d'urgence et des renforts envoyés par Paris dans l'archipel. Cependant, le contrôle de plusieurs quartiers "n'est plus assuré", a reconnu le haut-commissaire de la République. Les autorités ont annoncé un "pont aérien" entre l'Hexagone et le territoire calédonien, où l'aéroport reste fermé aux vols commerciaux. Une enquête visant des "commanditaires" des émeutes a été ouverte.

Le gouvernement veut finalement exclure France Médias Monde (FMM), la branche internationale de l'audiovisuel public français, de la réforme qui doit fusionner ses différentes composantes.
