En cinq jours, la flambée de violence en réaction au projet gouvernemental de modification du corps électoral a fait six victimes et plusieurs centaines de blessés à Nouméa. Alors que l’état d’urgence est entré en vigueur le 15 mai sur l’archipel, la situation semble s’apaiser vendredi. Mais rien n'est résolu, et la situation reste explosive.

Des policiers ont abattu, vendredi, un homme armé notamment d'un couteau qui tentait de mettre le feu à une synagogue à Rouen, en Normandie, dans le nord de la France, et les menaçait. "Un acte antisémite" qui "nous touche tous profondément", a dénoncé le ministre de l'Intérieur Gérald Darmanin, selon lequel l'auteur de l'incendie était inscrit au fichier des personnes recherchées depuis "quelques semaines" et le policier qui l'a tué sera "décoré".
